California Adventure

Ben and Kir were gracious enough to let us stay at their house for a few nights. Our kids loved getting to know each other again and playing together. While with them they introduced us to the delights of Yogurtland!! Ben gives two thumbs up to Yogurtland and two thumbs down to Disneyland. Isaac says they rate the same in his book. Next time maybe we'll save money and just go to Yogurtland!

Besides Disneyland, we spent a couple of days at the beach and rode bikes around Balboa Island where we stopped to get Balboa Bars, of course!! We love coming to Orange County. It is such magical place for us.

The last day we were there was Isaac's birthday and he was nice enough to let us go to Watt's Towers and the Getty Villa since it was the only day for tours. The Getty Villa has a pretty cool interactive exhibit for kids where they can draw on their own pots, make rubbings and act out gladiator scenes behind a screen. Ben also started a fun treasure hunt for the kids with the promise of a prize for every treasure they found. We had a great time.

Ben was nice enough to drive the whole trip so I could spend the time reading/editing the book he just finished writing. I finished reading it a couple of days after we arrived home and I am happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now we are going to have a real editor read it and give their opinion.
